Emmanuel Emenike takes the accolade this week over strong opposition from two players in the Nigeria Football Professional league: Mfom Udoh of Akwa United and Josiah Omeruo of Sunshine Stars because he played less minutes than the NPFL duo and the fact that he was scoring his first club goal in 2013.
Emenike notched his first goal for his Russian side in eight months, in their 2-0 victory over Ural SR in the Russian Premier Liga. It was his second competitive game for the Red-Whites since the knee injury he suffered at the 2013 AFCON in South Africa.
Congratulations to Emmanuel Emenike, Goal.com's Nigeria Player of the Week winner!

The Shortlist
Mfom Udoh - Akwa United

Udoh got a brace against Lobi Stars and was generally the best player on the pitch when Akwa United beat Lobi 2-1 in Uyo last Sunday.
Udoh's first goal was masterpiece. An angular shot with his left foot that left Lobi's goalkeeper, Terkaa Melai stranded while the second was a reward of his never say die spirit as he connected an inviting in-swinger from Ubong Ekpai in added on time.
Christian Omeruo - Sunshine Stars
The elder brother of Kenneth Omeruo, got two goals with his head in Sunshine Stars’ 3-1 home win over Kwara United. The two goals were scored within three minutes in the 11th and 14th minutes.
Victor Moses - Chelsea

The Super Eagles winger scored in pre-season for Chelsea against a Malaysia XI. Moses is trying to show new gaffer, Jose Mourinho that he can be important for Chelsea in the coming season.
