 - PSV Eindhoven coach Philip Cocu has confirmed he is hoping to conclude a deal to sign Queens Park Rangers midfielder Park Ji-sung.
 - In addition to playing down rumours of a return to Cardiff City, midfielder Joe Ledley also confirmed he is keen to discuss a new contract at Celtic, with his current deal expiring next summer. Ledley also believes that signing Ajax winger Derk Boerrigter would be a 'big boost' for the squad.
 - Peterborough manager Darren Ferguson is keen to bring in a new striker to replace Dwight Gayle, who was sold to Crystal Palace.
 - Bolton boss Dougie Freedman has confirmed he is trying to do a deal for Jay Spearing, but says the asking price for the Liverpool midfielder is 'too high'.
 - Sochaux president Laurent Pernet insists the club have received no offers for attacking midfielder Ryad Boudebouz. According to reports in France, Southampton have been linked with a £5million move for Boudebouz, who has a year left on his contract.
 - Motherwell have signed Estonia international striker Henri Anier from Norwegian side Viking on a six-month loan deal.
 - Southampton manager Mauricio Pochettino is not planning to let Rickie Lambert and Gaston Ramirez leave the club during the transfer window. Lambert was Saints' top scorer in the Premier League last season and has been linked with Reading and West Ham United, while Inter Milan are reported to have shown interest in Ramirez.
 - Celtic midfielder Joe Ledley has played down speculation linking him with a return to Cardiff after reports claimed his former club were planning a £3million bid.
 - Huddersfield have signed midfielder Jonathan Hogg from Watford on a three-year contract for an undisclosed fee.
 - St Etienne have signed winger Franck Tabanou from Ligue 1 rivals Toulouse on a four-year contract.
 - Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand is not worried by the lack of signings since David Moyes took over as manager. United have made two unsuccessful bids for Cesc Fabregas, but Ferdinand would be happy to go into the new season with the same squad which won the Premier League title last term.
 - According to reports in L'Equipe, former Blackpool midfielder Elliot Grandin has agreed a one-year contract to join Crystal Palace. Grandin played under Palace boss Ian Holloway at Blackpool and is currently available on a free transfer.
 - Cardiff City have completed the signing of goalkeeper Simon Moore on a four-year contract from Brentford.
17.17 - Ilkay Gundogan's father is eager for the midfielder to extend his contract at Borussia Dortmund beyond his current deal.
 - Peterborough chairman Darragh MacAnthony was prepared to break the club's transfer record to sign Bradford ace Nahki Wells, but the bid was rejected.
 - Rangers have taken former Premier League players Hameur Bouazza and Mamady Sidibe on trial.
 - Barnsley teenager Paul Digby has signed a contract extension that will keep him at Oakwell until the summer of 2017. - Northampton have completed the signing of Kevin Amankwaah on a one-year deal following his release from Exeter.
 - With Newcastle seemingly missing out on Bafetimbi Gomis, the Magpies have been backed in from 4/1 to 1/2 to sign QPR striker Loic Remy with Sky Bet.
