WAEC Releases Full Results Of 2013 Exam; Plus Website To Check Results

West African written test Council, WAEC, on Wednesday issued the full outcomes of 1,543,683 candidates who sat for its May/June 2013 lesser School Certificate written test. The number comprises 91.38 per cent of 1,689,188 candidates who listed for the
written test.

However, candidates are suggested to start ascertaining in 24 hours of the declaration of the outcomes.
The Head of National Office (HNO) of WAEC, Dr Charles Eguridu, announced the results on Wednesday when he addressed a report seminar in Lagos. He said 889,636 candidates obtained six credits & overhead, while 1,074,065 other ones got five credits and below.
According to him, the outcomes of 145,505 other ones, comprising 8.62 per cent, were being processed due to some mistakes. “These mistakes are traceable to the candidates as well as their schools in course of registration or writing the examination.”
The HNO explained that such errors were being corrected by the assembly to endow the affected candidates to get their results fully processed and issued subsequently.
Dr Eguridu although revealed that the council called off the result of 2,176 candidates. He clarified that the cancellation was due to multiple entries by the candidates found out while processing the outcomes.
He HNO furthermore said 112,865 results, comprising 6.75 per cent, were withheld due to written test malpractice. The cases were being investigated and accounts of the investigations would be offered to Nigeria Examinations Committee (NEC) for concern and further action.
